How it started
I drove for a living. Rideshare on the weekends, deliveries when it was slow, and my own running-around in between — the kind of driving where the car basically isthe job. And every week the same thing gnawed at me: I had no real idea what all that driving was actually costing me. I'd fill the tank, watch the pump spin, and only then do the math — always too late to do anything about it.
One night I finished a long shift, added up my fares, and couldn't tell you how much of it the gas had quietly eaten. Tax season made it worse — I knew I could deduct my miles, but I'd never kept a real log, so I left money on the table two years running. So I went looking for an app that would just showme: the cost climbing as I drove, and a clean mileage log kept for me automatically. Every app I tried did the same thing — told me how far I'd gone, after the money was gone. A rear-view mirror. Nobody had built the windshield.
So I built it. LiveGasCost shows the real dollars leaving your tank live, mile by mile— the way a taxi meter makes a fare impossible to ignore — and it keeps every drive, mapped and priced, so you can finally see where the money actually goes. It's the app I wanted on those late drives home. I built it for everyone who feels every mile.

The two jobs it does
First, it makes the invisible visible: your car's real fuel economy and your region's real gas price, turned into a live cost you can watch climb, mile by mile.
Second, it keeps the record most drivers know they should keep and almost never do — every drive saved, mapped and priced automatically in the background on Android, one tap on iPhone, and exportable as a plain CSV the day you need it.

Everywhere you go is sensitive. Your trips live on your phone and never reach us — no account, no cloud of ours, and we never sell your location.
No rent to track your own miles
Pay once, own it — 99¢ for the live counter and $8.99 for the full app, and neither one renews. Purchases restore free on any phone using the same App Store or Google Play account.
