Four promises we built into the app
These aren't policy fine print — they're how the software is architected. It couldn't work another way if we wanted it to.
Your data lives on your phone
Your trips, locations, and history are stored on your device first — not uploaded by default. The app works fully offline. If your phone never talks to our servers, your drives never leave it.
We don't sell your location
Full stop. Your movements are not a product. We don't run ad networks, we don't broker location data, and there's no third party quietly riding along.
Fully Google-free
Maps come from OpenStreetMap and location data is processed on your device — not through Google's services. Your driving isn't feeding a big-tech profile of you.
Cloud backup is your choice
Want your log backed up and synced across devices? Turn on Cloud. Don't want anything leaving your phone? Leave it off. You decide, and you can change your mind anytime.

"Local-first" isn't a slogan — it's the design. Here's the path your trips take.

Recorded on your device
When you drive, the trip is captured and saved directly in the app's private storage on your phone.

Your phone is the source of truth
Everything you see — history, costs, reports — is computed from the copy on your device. No internet connection required.

Cloud sync only if you turn it on
If you enable Cloud, an encrypted copy syncs so you can restore on a new phone or use the web login. We keep your maps/route lines out of the cloud — only the trip facts you need for taxes.

Delete means delete
Remove a trip and it goes to a 30-day trash you control, then it's gone. Turn off Cloud or close your account and your server copy is purged.
What we never do
On Teams, a company only ever sees the businessmiles a driver approves — never their personal trips, their commute, or their live location. Drivers see exactly what's shared before they ever join.
