What you get

All of it runs on the phone in your hand — no login and no server of ours behind your data. Live price lookups need a connection; tracking itself doesn't.

99¢ — the counter

The thing the app exists for.

  • The live gas cost

The real dollars leaving your tank, climbing in real time as you drive. The number the app exists for.

  • Automatic drive detection

On Android it records your trips on its own — pocket the phone and drive. (On iPhone you tap Start for now.)

  • Every trip, saved

Each drive kept with its cost, distance, time, and MPG — on your phone, unlimited, no expiry.

  • Route maps

The roads you actually drove, drawn on the trip. Map data from OpenStreetMap.

  • Idle cost

What sitting still costs you — drive-thrus, pickup lines, warm-ups — counted separately.

  • Live cost without opening the app

On Android the drive's notification carries the running total — dollars, miles and minutes — updating as you go.

  • Dark and light

A dark screen that's readable on a night drive and a light one that's readable in the sun.

$8.99 — the full app

Everything the counter does, plus all of this.

  • Multi-vehicle garage

Commuter, truck, diesel — each with its own MPG and fuel type, one tap to switch. Diesel prices follow automatically.

  • Fill-up log & learned MPG

Log a fill-up and the app learns your car's real-world MPG, so every cost after it gets more accurate.

  • Gas-spend summaries

What you're spending by day, week, and month, so the number stops being a surprise at the pump.

  • Commute cost

Drives you repeat get grouped, then priced — what your commute actually costs per day, week, month and year.

  • Business & personal tags

Mark a drive business or personal and keep the two piles separate.

  • Export your drives

Your history out of the app in a spreadsheet-friendly file, whenever you want it — it's your data.

  • Backup & restore

Save everything to a file you keep, and bring it all back on a new phone — drives, vehicles, learned MPG, settings.

  • Manual price override

Filled up at a price the averages don't know about? Set your exact price and every calculation uses it until you clear it.

  • Shareable cost cards

A clean card of what a drive cost, ready to send to whoever's splitting the gas.

  • Trip planner

What a drive will cost before you take it — real roads, real distance, your car's real MPG, priced to the cent.

Coming to the full app — included, no extra charge

  • Live cost on the iPhone Lock Screen

These are in development and are not in the app today. The $8.99 unlock covers them when they ship — the price does not change.

Plus — $4.99 a month

Coming soon · not available yet

For the things a phone can't do on its own.

  • Your drives on every screen

The same drives on your phone, your other phone, and a dashboard you open in a browser.

  • Your mileage report, emailed

The IRS log for the month, in your inbox, without opening anything.

  • Earnings in, gas out

Drop in what you made and see profit per hour, after what the driving cost.

  • Small fleets

A few drivers under one account, each with their own vehicle and totals.

  • Station prices where you are

The price at the pumps near you, not a regional average.

The Counter and the Full App stay one-time. Plus is only for what needs a server.

Four questions, four answers

Is it a subscription?

Not for the app. Both prices are one-time: 99¢ once for the counter, $8.99 once for the full app. There is no renewal, no annual plan, and no recurring charge on either — what you pay is the whole price, forever. Plus, when it arrives, will be the only monthly option — and it is optional. The one-time purchases never renew and never lose features.

I bought the 99¢ unlock before the two tiers existed — what happens to me?

You keep everything. When this page said the 99¢ unlock had no tier behind it, that was the promise you bought on — so every purchase made before the split gets the full app free, permanently. The sentence stays true for everyone who acted on it.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no email, and no password. Open the app, add your car, and start driving. Purchases are tied to your App Store or Google Play account, and restore free on any phone signed into it.

Is anything stored in the cloud?

No. Your drives, routes, and history live on your phone and never reach us — there's no server of ours holding them, so there's nothing to breach and nothing to sell. (Your phone's own iCloud or Google backup may include them, the same as any other app's data. That copy is in your account, not ours, and we can't see it.)

Prices in U.S. dollars. Purchases are processed by your app store under its terms. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
